About Us:

Hi, I'm Mitchell.

As an author, creative professional, problem-solving expert, trainer, and certified NLP Master Coach, I've spent over 30 years empowering individuals and teams to unlock their creative potential.

I deeply believe that everyone possesses creativity, although it manifests in different ways for different people. Unfortunately, our formal education often fails to teach us how to let our inherent creative abilities shine or become confident creative problem-solvers. It's this belief and the passion to unlock human potential that has driven my career and inspires my work every day.

That's why I founded the Creative Breakthrough Lab to provide the transformative programs, coaching, team and leadership training, and membership communities that creative people need to master the 'inner game' of confidence and success.

With over 40 years of experience as a creative professional, my expertise spans various fields including art, design, communications, marketing, and personal and professional development. In my past roles as a vice president and award-winning creative director for advertising agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi and FCB, I led teams in developing innovative campaigns for Fortune 500 clients.

This rich professional journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the unique challenges creatives face, mainly because I've lived through them. This is also why I am deeply passionate about helping creatives attain their next level of success.

As a founding partner of SmartStorming, an NYC-based consulting and training company, I have helped thousands of creative professionals at leading companies such as Google, Under Armour, NBCUniversal, Capital One, and Spotify to become more confident, effective, and productive creative problem-solvers.

I'm a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, have served on the RISD Board of Trustees, and am a certified NLP Master Coach Practitioner. In addition, I co-authored SmartStorming: The Game-Changing Process for Generating Bigger, Better Ideas.

My forthcoming book, Winning The Inner Game Of Creative Confidence and Success, provides a step-by-step process to guide creative individuals from a state of doubt and struggle to a place of greater confidence and breakthrough results.

HI, I'M LIZ.

I'm a Detroit-born native who grew up in a creative family filled with painters, musicians, and even a Poet Laureate.

Over the years, I've followed my curiosity, passions, and love of learning to enjoy a diverse career that has spanned the fields of fashion, art, design, and architecture, personal & professional development, and wellness. I'm a certified Reiki Master and even completed a full-stack coding boot camp program at Columbia University! Whew!

I'm a graduate of the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a degree in cognitive psychology, and a certified NLP Coach Practitioner.
